Turkey; Making the sewers run on time.

It is a truism that the economic centre of gravity has moved east in the last two or three decades. Europe is sluggish, and even North America, while still the most innovative economic region of the world, does not seem able to assure its population of an increasing standard of living (assuming that such a goal is desirable). But much of Asia in the meantime has grown apace. Returning to France from Turkey recently, I could not help contrasting the seemingly sluggish, or tired, general atmosphere of Paris with the energetic, or vigorous, general atmosphere of Istanbul……….continues
