Not the religion of peace and love…

(Peter Mullen’s answer to Imam Qari Asim’s article in the Yorkshire Post)

(“We must all unite…”) stands in need of considerable correction. Indeed, his statements are so at odds with the facts as to be laughable – if only the matters with which he deals were not so perilous. He says, “Muslims are more opposed to terrorism than the population as a whole.” Here are a few reliable numbers which give the lie to that statement:

Information from Pew Research reveals that 27% of all Muslims polled across the world believe that any Muslim who wishes to leave the faith should be executed. That adds up to 237 million people in favour of the death penalty for anyone who decides to change his religion. 29% of Muslims believe that so called “honour killings” are justified. 36% of British Muslims age 18-29 believe that suicide bombings against civilians are also justified.

If Islam is really the religion of peace and love which Qari Asim claims, how does he explain the mass murders carried out by Muslims every week on four continents?

Islam, the famous religion of peace and love, has got a CV. Here is a summary of its imperialistic incursions and attempted conquests over the last 1300 years:

In AD 732 a Muslim army of as many as 200,000 men was defeated by the Christian Charles Martel at Tours. If that battle had been lost, all Europe would have fallen to militant Islam .In 1565 the relief of the Siege of Malta, by a Christian alliance, ensured that the Mediterranean did not fall into Muslim hands and so give them a toehold in southern Europe

Following the defeat of the Muslim Turks by the Knights of St John at Malta in 1565, there came the Battle of Lepanto on 7th October 1571 when a fleet of the Holy League, a coalition of Spain (including its territories of Naples, Sicily and Sardinia), the Republic of Venice, the Papacy, the Republic of Genoa, the Duchy of Savoy, the Knights Hospitaller and others, decisively defeated the main fleet of the Ottoman Empire.

There was that other 11th September – 1683 when Christian armies under Jan Sobieski arrived at the gates of Vienna and defeated the last substantial Muslim incursion: the last, that is, before the one which we face at present.

Moreover, Muslims do not merely slaughter Christians and members of other religions or none in very large numbers, they also slaughter fellow Muslims. As soon as Mahomet died, there was a war over the succession between Shia and Sunni, and this war has continued unabated for 1400 years.

But you don’t want to take my word for it. Winston Churchill wrote:

“The religion of Islam above all others was founded upon the sword. Moreover, it provides incentives to slaughter and in three continents has produced fighting breeds of men filled with a wild and merciless fanaticism.”

The great English poet and philosopher S.T. Coleridge (author of The Ancient Mariner) wrote in 1828:

“Mahomet established the most extensive and complete despotism that ever warred against civilisation and the interests of humanity.”

The words I have quoted are not from a bunch of extreme, far right racists or from incendiary columnists in “populist” tabloid newspapers. Similar judgements on the true nature of Islam have been made over the centuries by hundreds of eminent scholars and statesmen including G.K. Chesterton and the 6th US president (1825-29), John Quincy Adams.

Are they all wrong? If so, Qari Asim, what is the religious affiliation of those perpetrating these countless atrocities?

But we can do better even than supply quotations from the many intelligent and informed critics of Islam. How about a statement of intent directly from one of its most fervent supporters?  Here is a proclamation from the most powerful and barbarous Muslim of modern times, Ayatollah Khomeini, dictator of Iran from 1979 until his death ten years later

“Islam makes it incumbent on all adult males, provided they are not disabled and incapacitated, to prepare themselves for the conquest of other countries so that the writ of Islam is obeyed in every country in the world.”

There is no doubt that militant Islam’s current aggression will have to be firmly suppressed if the character of Europe as we know it is to survive. If the European powers cannot bring themselves to act firmly, then the continent will be dominated by the Islamic ideology within a generation, with the resulting loss of all our freedoms – and of course the loss of countless lives.

Are we really all going to die of political correctness?

  1. If the political classes cannot bring themselves to disavow their ridiculous, ignorant, bigoted and highly dangerous attachment to Islam, we may be assured that far right radicals will eventually wrest power from them. Do these Cultural Marxist dimwits really want to be responsible for producing a clutch of neo Nazis in Europe?

  2. Like the Jews in the boxcars on their way to Auschwitz, white people of the west speed to their doom. They know what is happening and they know what is going to happen, but they just sit and accept it.

  3. Are we really going to die of political correctness? I suspect so. There are faint signs of our “thinkers” and politicians waking up. But too slowly and too fearfully. On the second point, note that I do not give my full name. I don’t wish to lose my job.
